Sprouts Farmers Market levels up its attention to sustainability. The retailer recently published its 2023 Impact Report, a report that dives into how it curates healthy products and works toward a healthier planet.

Highlights from the report were broken down into four categories: Impactful Products, Thriving Planet, Purposeful People, and Healthy Communities.

Sprouts Farmers Market has released its 2023 Impact Report, revealing that 19 percent of its total sales come from fruits and vegetablesThe retailer's attention to each segment is testimony to its dedication to lifting up both its internal operations but its communities.

Impactful Products

  • $3.3 billion in sales of products with a social or environmental attribute
  • 30 percent organic sales penetration in Sprouts Brand products

Thriving Planet

  • 25 percent per square foot carbon emissions intensity reduction target in our operations by 2033
  • 70 million pounds of food recovered through donation, animal feed, and composting programs

Purposeful People

  • 21 percent of team members promoted and 3,000 new jobs created
  • 64 percent of store manager positions filled with internal candidates
  • $21 million in bonuses paid to field team members

Healthy Communities

  • 3 million kids participated in Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation nutrition education programs
  • 37 million pounds of food donated; the equivalent to 29 million meals
