Innovation is what keeps the food sector interesting, and Stone & Skillet, along with Upcycled Foods, has a launch that is shaking things up. In a sustainable move, the company unveiled a premium Super Grains English Muffin that is created from grain left over from beer brewing and is Upcycle Certified™ and non-GMO.

Cam Meekins, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Stone & Skillet“We experimented with our friends at UP, Inc.—the pros at upcycling—and were inspired by their ReGrained SuperGrainingredient innovation. The result of our experimentation is a muffin with a distinctive flavor and nutrition profile,” explained Cam Meekins, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stone & Skillet. “This partnership strengthens our commitment to sustainably sourced ingredients, and I’m excited to add our new Super Grains innovation to our product portfolio.”

Stone & Skillet’s Super Grains English Muffins have a toasty flavor and a crispy texture on the outside, with a soft and doughy inside, a release stated. Not to mention that the inclusion of ReGrained’s SuperGrain+ makes the muffins a good source of dietary fiber, with 6g per serving on top of 6g of protein.

According to (SPINS), Upcycled Certified products saw a 21 percent growth in sales between 2021 and 2022.

Dan Kurzrock, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, UP“We’re excited to partner with Stone & Skillet and bring a sustainable and nutritious breakfast option to consumers,” Dan Kurzrock, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of UP shared. “Our mission is to support brands in creating innovative products that are better for the planet and for people. This product brings that promise to life in an exciting new category.”
