An ambitious sustainability strategy is unfolding in Houston, Texas. Sysco is celebrating the arrival of new heavy-duty electric vehicles (EVs) at its distribution facility in the city.

This is the first Texas market to welcome Sysco’s advanced fleet of vehicles, according to a press release.

The company is also continuing its progress in deploying EVs across the United States and the globe, which was highlighted during a news conference at the Sysco Houston location earlier this morning. The event was attended by Sysco’s Chief Administrative Officer Neil Russell, along with other Sysco executives, customers, and local government officials.
