Trader Joe’s looks to have a consistent eye on growth, both in minor and major steps as it continues to build out its geographic strategy. The latest move to cross the newswires is that of a new location and a new city for the grocer as it sets its sights on Fort Myers, Florida.
According to local news source, NBC-2, the county had previously rejected the grocer’s plans for the new location twice before the final approval on August 21, adding to the 19 stores Trader Joe’s already has in 19 Florida cities.
The new Trader Joe’s store will be located in Page Field Commons, right off U.S. 41. The nearest—and only other—Trader Joe’s in Southwest Florida is in Naples.
The news comes as a quick follow up to already having rolled out four new stores across the country.
