Taking accountability and action into its own hands, TreeHouse Foods is on the pathway to meeting its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. Recently, the supplier released its 2022 ESG Report, highlighting its progress toward these objectives and notable achievements throughout 2021.
"I am pleased with the progress that we are making on our ESG journey," said Steve Oakland, Chief Executive Officer and President. "I'm even more excited for further opportunities to drive forward our ESG initiatives and make a meaningful impact. We remain committed to weaving environmental stewardship, stakeholder value creation, and thoughtful governance in everything we do."
As detailed in a release, some of TreeHouse’s most noteworthy accomplishments in 2021 include:
On October 3, 2022, TreeHouse completed the divestiture of a significant portion of the Meal Preparation business. The transaction allows the company to sharpen its focus on higher-growth, higher-margin private-label snacking and beverage categories. The divestiture also meaningfully reduces its manufacturing and distribution footprint, enabling the supplier to accelerate growth and improve operational efficiency.
