Restaurants offer a value proposition that can’t be beaten. Even during more challenging times like these, luxuries like a restaurant-prepared meal are still in high demand as we look for comfort and delicious dishes to elevate our day—no matter the pandemic. In order to help foodservice operators navigate these waters, US Foods launched its Fall Scoop 2020, titled, “On Point With Off-Premise—Designed To Make It.”
“The restaurant environment has changed immensely with the surge in off-premise dining, and the ability for restaurant operators to adapt with creativity, labor savings, and safety in mind is more important than ever,” said Stacey Kinkaid, Vice President, Product Development and Innovation. “With Fall Scoop, we’ve designed a targeted lineup of products to help restaurant operators turn obstacles into opportunities and convert these latest trends into profits.”
Featuring 14 products that are designed specifically for this moment in time, this unique issue of the Scoop addresses current trends such as off-premise dining. It also touches on products that consumers are interested in, such as essentials for DIY meal kits and new packaging and sanitation items.
Nearly 60 percent of diners are interested in ordering a take-home DIY meal kit from restaurants, according to a press release. The Fall Scoop lineup provides a variety of pre-portioned, pre-packaged ingredients ideal for creative takeout menus.
These include:
In addition to its DIY kits, US Foods is ensuring that consumers know their food is safe from restaurant to home. The tamper-free takeout solutions help assure diners that their food remains untouched while it makes its way to them. With the help of Monogram® Tamper Evident Bags, Monogram Tamper Evident Containers, and Monogram Tamper Evident Labels, diners will not think twice about ordering from the restaurants using these solutions from US Foods.
US Foods is also debuting cleaning and food safety solutions. The Fall Scoop offers several products to help operators meet immediate safety standards, as well as improve upon long-term safety goals. These include the Monogram Individual Hand Sanitizer Gel and the Monogram Medium Duty Scouring Pad.
