“The theme for 2022 and 2023 is momentum.” This is a key takeaway from a recent conversation I had with Sean Moore, Director of Sales for Vermont Creamery. With exciting growth opportunities on the horizon, the supplier recently took to the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association’s (IDDBA) 2022 trade show with its entire lineup to showcase, including a selection of award-winning cheeses, cultured butter, and culinary creams.
“IDDBA attendees were treated to our legacy line of fresh goat cheeses, including an extensive list of innovative flavors favored by retailers and consumers alike: think Blueberry Lemon and Thyme, Clover Blossom Honey, and our newest fan favorite, Strawberry Spritz, which just launched this spring,” explains Sean. “Inspired by a timeless pairing of strawberries and bubbly, this newest flavor is making waves at retail already, and we can’t wait to see where it ends up next. At the center of our dairy case is our high-fat cultured butter with a cult following. We’re making a case for better butter, and you butter believe it’s working.”
As echoed by many of the industry members in attendance, one of the biggest highlights of the show was the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the many visionaries that make up our industry.
“In-person connections with our customers are key to our shared success. During the event, we were able to hear how our customers’ businesses are performing, including the challenges they’re facing, and seized the opportunity to align our goals for the coming year,” Sean adds. “IDDBA also allows us to introduce our cross-functional teams who work behind the scenes to the customers and accounts they serve, which is always valuable. After two years of pandemic living and virtual meetings, we were pleased to connect with our industry peers in person!”
Of course, as the provider sets its ambitions for the upcoming year, I had to ask what else Vermont Creamery has in the plans for the future.
“Our innovation pipeline is bursting with fresh ideas, and our research and development and sales teams are ready to go, so stay tuned,” Sean says.
While I can’t share all of the details about the supplier’s upcoming launches, we can expect to see more growth from the company through its 2021 Mission Report, which is available now.
With new products and innovations continuously hitting the dairy sector, Deli Market News will surely be here to report.
