Califia Farms is looking to drive numbers, and it’s placing former Annie’s Senior Vice President Sales, National Sales Manager Dan Mader at the wheel.
With more than 20 years of experience, the company has welcomed Mader as its new Senior Vice President of Sales, charged with developing the sales team to effectively continue Califia’s products acceleration forward and upward in both the natural and conventional markets.
“We are very pleased to welcome Dan to the Califia team,” Greg Steltenpohl, Califia Farms’ CEO, said in a press release. According to the company, Mader will report to Steltenpohl directly in his new position. “Dan played a key role in taking a much-loved natural brand into the big leagues. That, along with his proven expertise in the disciplines of trade promotion, route-to-market, sales planning, and, most importantly - people development, will be invaluable as Califia Farms’ expansion continues.”
Along with his eight years as Senior Vice President of Sales, National Sales Manager, in which he significantly helped the company through its IPO transition, Mader brings extensive food and beverage sales experience to his newest position. Having previously worked on other CPG brands at Clorox, Cadbury-Schweppes, as well as for California wineries Kendall-Jackson and Gallo, he is excited to see what he can add to the company’s upward climb.

Mader joins the Califia team just in time for the return of its popular Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) Cold Brew Iced Coffee with Almondmilk, which just came back to stores on August 25th. According to Califia, this is the only plant-powered pumpkin spice latte available nationally, and is made of the company’s own unique formulation, featuring real pumpkin puree.
