As more events emerge and spread in our industry regarding, much to my delight, the winning attributes of cheese, New York is gaining a special treat in the form of Cheese Week. Put on by Cheese Day Paris, the event will celebrate the flavor profiles French and global cheeses, including that of Aloutte Cheese.
"We are delighted to be a partner of the first Cheese Week in the USA, and share our love for fine French cheeses with NYC, Philadelphia, and California's consumers,” stated Serge Bruno, Director of International Sales & Foodservice Marketing at Alouette. “For us, it’s for consumers to discover our imported cheeses on a casual way in the partners' restaurants and boutiques, and to demonstrate easy pairings they can then do at home."
According to a press release, the event will bring the most noted cheesemakers, sommeliers, chefs, and conneisseurs under one roof to boast a schedule of tastings, culinary creations, and more, from February 21–26.
The following Alouette premium cheeses will be featured on Friday, February 24th from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the French Cheese Board (41 Spring Street):
Created by Jean-François Hesse, Cheese Day Paris is bringing chefs from New York, Philadelphia, and California together to celebrate and experiment with premium selections of cheese. In this vein, Alouette will also have the aforementioned selections on spotlight during the event.
