The American Cheese Society (ACS) has proclaimed that entries are now open for its 2016 Judging and Competition. ACS said that its goal in this annual event is to recognize dairy and cheese products which exhibit quality aesthetics and have achieved technical merit.

ACS states that entries are judged for aroma, appearance, and texture. The society also noted that all entries must submit a copy of their current Dairy Plant Permit or Health Inspection Report in order for entrants to qualify for judgement.
The American Cheese Society’s entry timeline for the 2016 Judging and Competition are:
Final judging will take place on July 25 and 26. Category winners and Best of Show honorees will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines on July 29. A livestream of the event will be provided for those who cannot attend.
