Arthur Schuman Introduces Flavor-Rubbed Fontina

Are you ready for a new product line from cheese company Arthur Schuman? Allison Schuman, National Account Sales Manager for the company, joined DeliMarket News to share the cheese-maker's latest and greatest, including its new flavor-rubbed fontina, or fontal, line.

“We took a fontal, which is a semi-soft cheese, that is an Italian type cheese, and we had a chef in our cheese warehouse in Wisconsin, hand-rubbing the cheeses with the flavor blends,” Allison explains to me during our interview. 

The product is currently available in Harissa, Tuscan, and Habenero & Lime, but Allison expects even more flavors to come around to match different seasonal tastes.

Fontina Varieties

“This is something that we had originally developed for chefs to melt onto grilled cheese, pastas, pizzas, but we decided to add an added layer to that and have our chef and our innovation team come up with these blends,” she adds.
