While health is all the rage these days—and for good reasons too—I have to admit I sometimes go for products that are simply good for my soul—whether that be because of beautiful packaging, a great story, a delicious product, or even the fact that a company is woman-owned. One company that brings all of these attributes to the table is Belle Chevre. With so many blocks, bags, tubs, and wheels to choose from in the cheese case, Belle Chevre is making it easier than ever for consumers to choose one of its healthy products after launching an all-new line and a fresh product rebrand. I caught up with CEO Tasia Malakasis to get the inside scoop on Belle Chevre’s newest Cream Cheese and Skinny Dips offerings.
“Belle Chevre’s mission is to continue to innovate an age-old recipe and make it applicable to how Americans want to eat today—clean, clear, and crisp,” Tasia told me. “Belle Chevre is truly a woman-run business—we employ all women to do the making and packaging of our goat cheese. I have some of the best cheesemakers in the world on my team, and that makes all the difference. Seeing people’s smiles when they try our products is truly the best, especially those who thought they didn’t or wouldn’t like goat cheese. We convert the skeptics, and we’re hoping to continue to do so with our new products.”
Tasia revealed that the Cream Cheese packaging was redesigned to have a sleek style with bold colors to catch shoppers’ eyes.
“We are continuing to see market growth and an increased presence in retailers. Consumers have been very excited to learn about a cream cheese that is not only high in protein but also has a clean label and that tastes so light and creamy in comparison to the traditional cream cheese,” Tasia shared with me. “Our Cream Cheese is all natural, three times higher in protein than traditional cream cheeses, lower in fat and calories, and it has the exceptional flavor that a fresh cheese should. Plus, it is made by real people in a real creamery.”
In addition to the Cream Cheese, Belle Chevre is launching its Skinny Dips exclusively online and at local Alabama retailers. A sophisticated and healthier take on traditional cheese dips, the dips range from 4.5 to 6 grams of fat per serving and are low in carbs. Tasia noted that these dips are perfect for parties, snacking, and even to add depth and incredible flavor to any recipe.
Both the Cream Cheese and Skinny Dips are available now in 6-ounce plastic tubs with removable lids.
