While industry members, retailers, and exhibitors flocked the IDDBA show floor last week, Burnett Dairy Cooperative unveiled new innovative string and artisan cheese flavors.
“Consumers have an increasing interest in knowing where their food comes from, which connects them to our farmer-owned cooperative story,” Bryan Olson, SVP of Marketing and Sales for Burnett Dairy Cooperative, said in a press release. “They also have sophisticated palates and are looking for unique and bold flavors. Our Alpha’s Morning Sun flavors deliver on flavor, taste, and creaminess while enhancing a recipe or simply pairing with a cracker.”
Joining the convenient on-the-go string cheese line is a new enticement to get kids to eat their veggies, with the addition of Burnett’s new Garden Veggie String Cheese. Made with all-natural vegetables and mozzarella, this is a protein pack the companies says offers both taste and health.
Additionally, the company announced five new flavors to its award-winning brand, Wood River Creamery™, which is moving to 100% rBST free. Alpha’s Morning Sun™ cheese is a fusion of cheddar and gruyere, which Burnett has looked to combine with trending ingredients to add excitement to cooking and entertaining.
Now introducing:
Wood River Creamery itself has also undergone a makeover, with a new look embracing a “more artisanal label,” showcasing hand-illustrated flavor cues, wine and beer pairings, and recipe suggestions.
According to Burnett, these natural cheese products add excitement to the retail dairy and specialty cases by offering on-trend flavors to entice cheese lovers of all ages.
