Looking to please snackers, encourage entertaining, and drive sales in deli and dairy departments, Cabot Creamery Co-operative has announced the launch of a new naturally-aged, cracker cut cheeses. The pre-cut cracker size portions feature a new packaging desing with a resealable lid to ensure freshness over multiple snacking sessions.
“We wanted to make it easier for people to enjoy our award-winning cheese when time is short or when they are on the go,” said CEO Ed Townley, in a company press release. “In response to our consumer’s requests, the farm families who own Cabot invested in the operational resources needed to deliver our best cheeses, more conveniently.”
According to Cabot's press release, across the country, the cracker cut segment has grown by 24 percent in the past year. And the company’s newest line aims to help retailers take advantage of the growing market, with six varieties each available in 26-slice packages.
“We take great pride in the quality of our cheese. Our cheddars have won every major award for taste,” said Townley. “It is an exciting prospect, both for cheese lovers and our 1,100 farm families who are proud to join this trend.”
These cracker cut slices are currently available in the Northeast, and will be available nationally as the summer progresses.
