Cypress Grove Chevre Asks Fancy Food Show Attendees to "Celebrate the Chevrelution"

SAN FRANCSICO, CA
Monday, January 18th, 2016

I have eaten an absurd amount of wedding cake in my young adult life. Could I describe any of them to you after the fact? Absolutely not. But ask me if I could describe to you Cypress Grove’s Winter Fancy Food Show booth to you and the answer will be, unequivocally, yes.

Located at booth #5106, Cypress Grove is asking industry members and consumers to “Celebrate the Chevrelution” by tossing out traditional ways of celebrating and putting the company’s chevre in their place.

"For me I think no one remembers a conventional wedding cake after they leave a wedding," shared Cypress Grove's Sales and Marketing Manager Bob McCall. "But if you have a cheese wedding cake, no one will forget."

For the booth, the company joined forces with three talented and innovative Bay Area artists, who each designed a “cheese cake” as inspiration for your next special occasion. Check out the artists’ work below:

The Cheese School of San Francisco

Using Cypress Grove’s cheeses, Humboldt Fog Grande, Truffle Tremor, Truffle Tremor Mini, and Midnight Moon, the Cheese School of San Francisco whipped up this “Tom Ford, the Rat Pack, and Count Dracula” inspired cake.

And if you can't read the glamourous cake topper above, it says, "love you forchevre."

Farmgirl Flowers

This San Francisco-based florist took on two cakes, one using both the Humboldt Fog Grande and the Humboldt Fog Mini, and the second combining the Humboldt Fog Grande, Truffle Tremor, and Truffle Tremor Mini.

“We didn't realize cheese could be so stunning!” a representative from Farmgirl Flowers shared with Cypress Grove. “Besides tasting AMAZING, the cheese was the perfect backdrop for highlighting local plants and ultimately created something to swoon over!”

Patisserie Angelica

Patisserie Angelica

Using two Humboldt Fog Grande cheeses, a Humboldt Fog Mini, and a Truffle Tremor Mini, this patisserie brought a little bit of a Northern Californian touch to its beautiful “cheese cake.” The company offered one piece of advice to those thinking of a cheese cake for their next occasion—“Don't do too much! Keep it simple.”

If you’ll be on the floor for the final day of the Winter Fancy Food Show, be sure to stop by the booth, but if not, be sure to check out cypressgrovechevre.com/pairings/celebrate/ for more on this soon-to-be ubiquitous trend.
