Everyone’s a winner when it comes to cheese, which means Cypress Grove was a winner on more counts than one after taking home six awards from the 2018 World Cheese Awards. Amongst the accolades the Northern California cheesemaker accumulated was two Super Golds for its Midnight Moon and Fromage Blanc.
“We are always humbled to be recognized by our peers around the world,” said Cypress Grove’s Founder Mary Keehn. “The awards are the result of attention to hundreds of details, from soothing music in our milking barn to a dedicated cheesemaking team to years of constant improvement—and so much more. We are especially excited to win a Super Gold for Fromage Blanc, which was the first cheese we produced back in 1983 (more than 35 years ago!) and is still a favorite.”
Cypress Grove also collected gold awards for Humboldt Fog Grande, Humboldt Fog Mini, and Lamb Chopper, with Ms. Natural nabbing a silver award.
In a press release, Cypress Grove noted the feat that was shipping its delicious food from California to New Jersey to Norway, as cheese is a living, breathing, delicate food and to receive awards despite its lengthy shipping and logistics process is a true testament to Cypress Grove’s quality standards.
And the awards earned at this year’s World Cheese Awards weren’t the only earned this year by Cypress Grove. The cheesemaker also has the following accolades under its belt thanks to a successful 2018:
