With a massive rebranding effort on the rise, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin has promoted Suzanne Fanning to Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Wisconsin Cheese.
Fanning’s contributions to the rebrand include the development of the Cheeselandia ambassador program, the creation of the company’s first-ever commercial, and contributions to efforts to earn a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® award for the largest ever cheese board.
CEO Chad Vincent commented in a recent press release that “Wisconsin’s $45 billion dairy industry is vital to the state and to our Dairy Farmers, and we are fortunate to have Suzanne’s talent, energy, and leadership at the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin.”
This praise is well-deserved, as Fanning and her team have raised social media engagement by over 4,000 percent, and achieved over $30 million in national publicity coverage for Wisconsin cheese. This publicity has included features in print media such as The New York Times, Bon Appétit, and Food and Wine, as well as coverage from both The Today Show and The Tonight Show.
Fanning's new role will include continual focus on marketing communications, as well as consumer confidence, farmer outreach, and channel and retail marketing. As Vincent explains, “She is developing a high performance team to bring Wisconsin Cheese and Wisconsin Dairy to new heights.”
We at Deli Market News look forward to witnessing further accomplishments from Fanning and her team as they continue to develop the Wisconsin Cheese brand.
