As if the Winter Fancy Food Show wasn’t already exciting enough, Laura Chenel announced that it will be unveiling a new logo and packaging design, as well as new products for its goat milk-based range, in honor of its 40th anniversary.
“The new look not only translates our values as a brand—who we are as a community and as food artisans—but also reflects our mission to offer the highest-quality, best-tasting products with a commitment to the pioneering spirit and values of our founder: Care, Quality, and Community,” stated Manon Servouse, Laura Chenel Brand Manager, in a recent press release. “We uphold these tenants in everything we craft so that our consumers sense that dedication with every taste.”
The press release noted that Laura Chenel was the first to introduce goat cheese commercially to the American market back in 1979. Today, the brand is committed to upholding the traditions of care and quality, all while embodying Laura Chenel’s trailblazing spirit. The brand’s new identity is more artisanal and reflects Laura Chenel’s roots in Sonoma, California; it’s also been designed to stand out on the shelf and provide consumers with usage ideas in a joyful, authentic, and contemporary way. The new design will progressively reach shelves at the end of the first quarter of 2019.
The company is equally excited to introduce its range of Laura Chenel goat milk yogurts, made exclusively with natural ingredients and probiotic cultures. As consumers seek better-for-you dairy products, Laura Chenel goat milk yogurt is a healthier alternative to cow’s milk yogurt. While goat’s milk has been proven to be more easily digested than cow’s milk, the brand has added BB-12 probiotics to its goat-milk yogurt, making the product rich in gut-healthy probiotics.
Both a Plain and Vanilla variety will be available in 4.75-oz glass jars; a 23-oz version of the Plain is great for recipes or adding to smoothies. The two sizes feature distinctive glass packaging that is unique to the category and appealing to sustainably-minded consumers. These products will be available in March 2019.
In addition to this exciting news, Laura Chenel will add a Garlic & Chive variety to its range of 5.4-oz goat cheese logs. The new log has a smoother taste compared to similar Garlic & Herb products as the herbs—marjoram and thyme—are replaced with chives, creating a cheese with a slightly sweet finish. This chèvre will be available in February 2019.
