Litehouse Foods' Margi Gunter Discusses Successful Shaker Launch

Have you ever seen shakeable soft blue cheese before? If not, don’t feel bad, I hadn’t either until I came to the gloriously tasty Litehouse Foods booth at this year’s IDDBA conference. Margi Gunter, the company’s Brand Manager, gave me a sprinkling of news about the latest introduction, Simple Seasons shakeable soft cheeses.

Margi Gunter, Brand Manager, Litehouse Foods“We have the first shakeable soft cheese, Simple Season,” Margi explains to me when we step aside on the busy show floor. “It’s a 9 oz. jar, but we have a 4.5 oz. fill because its real soft cheese in there.”

Packaged in a beautiful glass container, the high-quality container keeps both the cheese’s freshness and blue color. The blue cheese used in the Simple Seasons product is the same cheese that won first place at the American Cheese Society show last year, Margi tells me.

As the company navigate’s through show season and begins to market its products in new, exciting ways, Margi says its been wonderful to get the consumer engagement she’s been looking for.
