If you love cheese and the sweet, summery shores of California, than prepare for another installation of an industry-favorite event; Marin French Cheese’s Summer Picnic. Back for a third year, the upcoming event will be held on Sunday, September 10, with some new surprises to offer.
“We’re excited as we prepare for the 3rd annual Marin French Cheese Summer Picnic," said Elyzabeth Dehapiot, Marketing Director at Marin French Cheese and Laura Chenel’s. “What began as a celebration of our 150-year heritage here at the 'Cheese Factory,’ now continues as a fete of the community, bringing together a variety of local food artisans and artists alike."
Held on the beautiful grounds surrounding its creamery, affectionally known as the Cheese Factory to locals, the company stated in a press release that attendees will be treated to sample tastings from a host of 25 food and beverage producers. Marin French is supplementing fan favorite vendors from previous years with new selections and flavor profiles for attendees to choose from.
The following vendors are slated to attend, gracing attendings with a flavorful selection of charcuterie, artisan crackers, and specialty products:
Marin French’s own selections will be available to try paired with bread from Costeaux Bakery and La Boulangerie, in addition to wine and beer from local vineyards and breweries.
New this year, Marin French plans to host a selection of artists, painters, and a photographer. The company will also offer family-focused, interactive demos on cheesemaking, beekeeping, and a garden project for kids, and have local historian and author Kathleen Hill onhand.
Inviting all industry members, families, and cheeselovers to the event, tickets are available for purchase here with only 600 available. If following in last year’s footsteps, the event may sell out.
