Monday, April 10th, 2017

In celebration of National Cheese Fondue Day, one of the world's premier fondue chains, The Melting Pot, is offering guests the opportunity to taste victory with the debut of the 2016 World Champion Roth® Grand Cru® Surchoix cheese. Today, April 11, The Melting Pot will offer its limited edition World Champion Cheese Fondue, a blend of the nine-month aged World Champion Roth Grand Cru Surchoix alpine cheese, white wine, shallots, Dijon mustard and scallions, for only $4.11.

Mike Lester, President, The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc.“With cheese consumption on the rise in the U.S., more and more consumers are experiencing and enjoying fondue every year, and National Cheese Fondue Day is the perfect day to celebrate our love of cheese,” said Mike Lester, President, according to a press release. “At The Melting Pot, we always strive to offer our guests the best of everything, and that includes the high quality, exceptional food that we serve. Together with our partners at Emmi Roth USA, we are taking our National Cheese Fondue Day celebration to another level by offering, for a limited-time, our World Champion Cheese Fondue, melted with the 2016 World Champion Cheese, Roth Grand Cru Surchoix.”

Fondue aficionados are encouraged to celebrate their “cherishment of cheddar, fascination with fontina, or glorification of Gruyere” at their local Melting Pot to celebrate National Cheese Fondue Day.

The Melting Pot Restuarants, LLC.

As the first American cheese maker to win the award in almost 30 years, Emmi Roth USA combined the finest milk from family farms in southern Wisconsin and crafted the award-winning cheese in authentic copper vats. The careful crafting brings out light floral notes, nutty undertones, a hint of fruitiness, and a full-flavored finish. The Grand Cru Surchoix is a mellow alpine cheese aged for nine months and winner of the 2016 World Championship Cheese Contest.

The Melting Pot operates more than 120 restaurants across 35 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The concept is known for offering an assortment of flavorful fondue cooking styles and a variety of unique entrées served with signature dipping sauces.
