Tuesday, December 27th, 2016

Saputo Inc. announced major changes to its lineup of executives last week. The company announced that Louis-Philippe Carrière, the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Secretary will retire effective August 1, 2017, after 30 years with Saputo. Effective that day, Maxime Therrien will step into the position of CFO and Secretary.

Maxime Therrien, Incoming Chief Financial Officer & Secretary, Saputo

Therrien currently serves as the company’s Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration, and has been with the company since 1996. Therrien has held several senior management positions in finance and administration at both the divisional and corporate level. In his new capacity, Therrien will report direcly to Lino A. Saputo, Jr., the company’s CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board.

Carrière and Therrien will work together over the course of the next year to ensure a smooth transition. In August 2017, Carrière will transition to serve as Senior Advisor to Saputo, and he will be nominated for election to the company’s board of trustees.

We at Deli Market News wish Carrière and Therrien the best, the former on an outstanding career and on the occasion of his retirement, the latter on his promotion, and both on the exciting ventures that lay ahead for them and Saputo.
