Schuman Cheese will make its debut at the Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore later this month while showcasing its new Cello Whisps product line. One highlight will be the launch of a new flavor of the airy and wholesome Cello Cheddar Whisps, which complement the already popular Cello Parmesan Whisps.
“Cheddar Whisps, along with our popular Parmesan Whisps, highlight Schuman Cheese’s commitment to delivering an innovative, addictive, gluten- and wheat-free, pure cheese snack that contains only a single ingredient–our very own cheese,” said Ilana Fischer, Vice President of Innovation and Strategy for Schuman Cheese, according to a press release.
Leading players in the natural, organic, and healthy lifestyle markets will get the opportunity to experience the bite-sized Cello Whisps, crafted by artisan cheese makers in Wisconsin. The Whisps are made of 100 percent pure Parmesan cheese. Shavings of 14-month-old Parmesan are simply baked into flavorful, airy, crispy, “whispy” bites.
At the show, Schuman Cheese will offer samples of both flavors of Whisps, along with the highly acclaimed Cello Copper Kettle Parmesan used to make Cello Parmesan Whisps.
Cello Copper Kettle Parmesan is made in copper vats, then aged a minimum of 14 months to develop a unique rich and nutty flavor that has been recognized among the best in the United States with first place honors in the 2015 American Cheese Society Competition.
Due to overwhelming consumer feedback, Cello recently expanded its popular Whisps line to include Cello Cheddar Cheese Whisps, which are made from Cello’s new Cheddar Cheese and have won top honors with a gold medal finish at the 2016 World Championship Cheese Contest.
Cello Whisps are available to both the retail and food service markets.
