Slingshot Foods, a San Francisco, California-based start-up, is capturing on-the-go consumer demand with its new all-natural yogurt protein drink that seeks to capture bad breakfast eaters everywhere.
Both light and portable, this innovative product comes packed with the three macronutrients that consumers need to feel full and energized throughout the day – protein, carbohydrates (fiber, in particular), and healthy fat. Wrapped around each bottle is a shot of toasted oats, almond bits, and chia seeds, which consumers can pour into the drink.
Slingshot is now available in more than 300 stores across California, with even more retailers expected to add this product to their shelves. It currently comes in six different rich and creamy flavors – Simply Plain, Strawberry, Vanilla Bean, Peach, Blueberry, and Powerplant – each designed to give consumers up to 20g of protein, 3g of fiber, and 600+ mg of Omega-3 fatty acids. More flavors will soon be on the way, however, and Slingshot Foods is happy to accept ideas from consumers on its website, found here.
The idea for Slingshot was born out of a desire to help a growing category of consumers find the time to eat breakfast in the morning.
“The number one reason people are skipping breakfast isn’t because they’re not hungry or because they don’t have the money. It’s because they don’t have time,” said Will Hartley, President of Slingshot Foods. “Just getting out of the door in the morning can be one of the most hectic times in a household.”
