Trade and consumers might have noticed a streamlined, revamped logo and updated labels for St. Benoit Creamery’s line of organic yogurts and milk. The company announced that it’s refreshed look for the products is hitting shelves this month, reflecting key attributes like it's being organic, pasture-raised, Jersey cow’s milk, and California-inspired.
"The new look really translates our values—who we are as food artisans and food lovers," Vanessa Chang, Brand Manager, said in a press release. "We’re striving to change the yogurt landscape with a better-for-you dairy option, using real food. It’s extraordinary milk (with lots of good fats) and cultures in our Plain yogurt—that's it."
The company noted that the evolution of the brand includes its philosophy of "REAL FOOD, REAL GOOD," featuring a simplified version of the distinctive St. Benoit "green" logo with clearer legibility and visibility.
While introduced to stores this month, the full refreshed line-up will be in distribution in December 2018.
Though the label might be new, the company said its unique, clear glass packaging boldly highlighting that the yogurt is made from the milk of a single herd of pastured Jersey cows remains intact.
St. Benoit Creamery doesn’t use any thickeners, emulsifiers, or stabilizers (such as cornstarch) for its cup-set yogurt, resulting in a balanced, mildly tangy flavor that offers a slightly indulgent experience and the benefits of the live active culture strains of L. bulgaricus, S. Thermophilus, and Bifidobacterium, according to the release.
Located just 26 miles from the farm, St. Benoit Creamery produces in a certified LEED Gold facility with solar panels and a water recycling program, situated in the heart of Sonoma wine country. Its range of yogurts feature clean label recipes that are lower in added sugar, and its Organic Plain yogurt was recently named a Good Food Awards Finalist—one of the only yogurts to be honored in the highly competitive Cheese category.
