Beehive Cheese Awarded at International Cheese and Dairy and American Cheese Society Competitions

Beehive Cheese’s claim to fame just got that much stronger with several new accolades. The company recently participated in the International Cheese and Dairy Awards (ICDA), earning two golds and a bronze, and the American Cheese Society Awards (ACS), earning first and second place titles and listed in the Top 15 of overall best cheeses.

According to a press release, the ICDA is a leading global platform celebrating exceptional cheese and dairy producers, with over 5,500 entries annually. The event recognized Beehive Cheese for the following honors:

• Gold Award in the Sweet Additives Category: Seahive (rubbed with honey and sea salt)
• Gold Award in the Cheese with Alcohol Category: Pour Me a Slice (Infused with Bourbon)
• Bronze Award in the Medium Aged Cheddar Cheese Category: Promontory Cheddar

The ACS awards are designed to honor cultured dairy products and cheeses that demonstrate technical excellence while exhibiting the highest aesthetic qualities. With 1,454 entries, Beehive secured recognition with the following prestigious awards:

• First Place in the Rubbed-Rind Cheese with Added Flavor Category: Barely Buzzed (rubbed with espresso and lavender)
• Second Place in the Cheddar with Hot Pepper (Capsaicin) /Spicy Flavor Added: Red Butte Hatch Chile (rubbed with coriander and New Mexico Hatch Chiles in the paste)
• Best of Show: Barely Buzzed, listed as one of the top 15 cheeses in the entire competition
