Events and gatherings are coming back en masse as cheesemakers in California gather in San Francisco. The California Artisan Cheese Guild (CACG) is bringing back the SF Cheese Fest after a brief hiatus for the last two years.
Taking place at Riggers Loft, 1325 Canal Blvd. in Richmond, California, the festival brings together a multitude of California Artisan Cheesemakers and local food producers. They will be offering plentiful samples and give guests a chance to get up close and personal with the makers and mongers behind their favorite cheeses and specialties.
According to the release, limited tickets will be available for this coveted event filled with bountiful samples, beer, wine, and cider; live music will also be played by Bryan Girard performing with his quartet comprised of Bay Area notables including pianist Brian Cooke, bassist Robb Fisher, and drummer Glen Iwaoka. A VIP Tasting with Food Writer Janet Fletcher will also take place.
A fundraiser for the California Artisan Cheese Guild, a statewide nonprofit organization of cheesemaker, cheese trade, and enthusiast members who work together to support locally made cheese, will also take place. The mission of the CACG is to celebrate the quality and diversity of artisan cheeses produced in California, through partnerships, outreach, and education.
