From a consumer perspective, picking only a couple of cheeses from the deli counter is a battle—mostly due to all of the variety. But here’s some news that might pique the interest of shoppers next time they’re planning out a cheese board. The American Cheese Society (ACS) awarded Caputo Cheese multiple prizes for its cheese under 8 oz in the all milk category.
“I am grateful for the hard work and dedication my team puts into crafting our cheese,” Natale Caputo, Chief Executive Officer and President, shared. “These achievements surpassed our expectations, and we are honored to be recognized by our peers at the ACS.”
According to a press release, the list of wins are as follows:
Caputo was also awarded Best of Class at the 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest for its Nodini cheese.
The ACS events took place at the University of Minnesota in June, and is one of the largest events of its kind for American-made cheeses. The competition began 38 years ago with only 89 entries, growing to 228 companies competing this year, a true testament to the quality and diversity of cheeses being produced across the continent.
Cheers to Caputo Cheese for its recent wins!
