Any time I hear that there’s new cheese to try, my heart skips a beat. Naturally, hearing that our friends over at Carr Valley Cheese Co. have released two new flavors to the growing Bread Cheese® line, I was ecstatic.
“Bread Cheese® is one of my favorite products we make because it is so versatile,” said Sid Cook, Owner, Carr Valley Cheese. “You can grill, deep fry, sauté, or bake it, and the pairing applications are endless. The new flavors of Pizza and Bacon have been long time customer requests, and we wanted to make sure the profiles were perfect before bringing to market.”
The two new flavors, Pizza and Bacon, are part of the company’s take on the Finnish cheese Juustoleipä, an all-natural baked cheese made with fresh cow’s milk that is served warm.
“With the demand for convenient, gluten-free foods with simple ingredients, we are seeing huge growth in the grilling cheese sector,” stated National Sales Manager Dave Christoff. “Once someone tries this product, they’re hooked.”
According to a press release, the Pizza Bread Cheese includes Italian seasoning and dried tomatoes, which pairs well with marinara sauce. The Bacon Bread Cheese includes high quality hickory smoked bacon and pairs well with fruit chutney. Other flavors include Jalapeño, Garlic, Chipotle, and a Goat Milk version.
This launch is timed perfectly to align with the holiday season and makes for an excellent entertainment and snacking option. Sold in the specialty deli section, Carr Valley Bread Cheese is available in select grocery stores nationwide.
