Champignon North America Reveals New Launches and Outlook as IDDBA and Summer Fancy Food Approach; Kelly Newsome Discusses

It is looking to be one cheesy summer if Champignon North America has anything to say about it. With new launches, milestones, and promotional events hitting as soon as next month, it is safe to say there are plenty of reasons to keep an eye on the company in the coming weeks.

Smoky and Dulce de Leche will both join Creamy & Mild, Creamy & Blue, and Creamy & Buttery Red, and are available to order as of April 2022,” Kelly Newsome, Marketing Manager, shares. “All Briette soft-ripened cheeses come in an innovative fresh pack, ensuring perfect maturation, high quality, and extended shelf-life, as well as a mild rind and ultra-creamy texture.”

At 4.4 oz, each wheel is an ideal size for entertaining, with a mild rind, creamy texture, and buttery flavors to suit all guests’ preferences when consumers are shopping for a party brie.

“With generous shelf-life and consistent quality due to an innovative fresh pack, the colorful and modern packaging design is sure to draw in shoppers both in store and online,” Kelly agrees.

And the official additions to the company’s portfolio are not the only thing worth celebrating.

“We are also thrilled to be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the CAMBOZOLA brand in the U.S. market this year,” she adds, explaining that Champignon has something special planned as a thank you to retailers and consumers. “We are planning a variety of digital and retail promotions. In May, we’ll be kicking off the Taste the Extraordinary Giveaway, a retail sweepstakes where we’ll be giving away three luxe vacation packages up to $10,000 in value. All participating retailers will receive special gold merchandising stickers with a QR code that will promote the giveaway and draw eyes to the specialty cheese case!”

In early summer, retailers who order CAMBOZOLA & CAMBOZOLA Black Label will receive gold merchandising stickers to promote the Taste the Extraordinary Giveaway, set to run through 2022. Participants will be able to enter via website or QR code.

In addition, retailers can now request a variety of eye-catching POS materials to draw attention to their cheese case, including:

  • 4x6 Seasonal Pairings card: four seasonal pairings for Cambozola and Cambozola Black Label created by Cheese Board Influencer @SocialSpreads (aka: Amanda Starley)
  • 8.5x11 Anniversary Sign with QR code and easel back: An image of the iconic “Cambozola Cake” promoting the 40th anniversary and the Taste the Extraordinary Giveaway, with the entry page QR code
