It is looking to be one cheesy summer if Champignon North America has anything to say about it. With new launches, milestones, and promotional events hitting as soon as next month, it is safe to say there are plenty of reasons to keep an eye on the company in the coming weeks.
“We are thrilled to be adding two new flavors to our Briette brand portfolio, first introduced in 2021. Smoky and Dulce de Leche will both join Creamy & Mild, Creamy & Blue, and Creamy & Buttery Red, and are available to order as of April 2022,” Kelly Newsome, Marketing Manager, shares. “All Briette soft-ripened cheeses come in an innovative fresh pack, ensuring perfect maturation, high quality, and extended shelf-life, as well as a mild rind and ultra-creamy texture.”
At 4.4 oz, each wheel is an ideal size for entertaining, with a mild rind, creamy texture, and buttery flavors to suit all guests’ preferences when consumers are shopping for a party brie.
“With generous shelf-life and consistent quality due to an innovative fresh pack, the colorful and modern packaging design is sure to draw in shoppers both in store and online,” Kelly agrees.
And the official additions to the company’s portfolio are not the only thing worth celebrating.
“We are also thrilled to be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the CAMBOZOLA brand in the U.S. market this year,” she adds, explaining that Champignon has something special planned as a thank you to retailers and consumers. “We are planning a variety of digital and retail promotions. In May, we’ll be kicking off the Taste the Extraordinary Giveaway, a retail sweepstakes where we’ll be giving away three luxe vacation packages up to $10,000 in value. All participating retailers will receive special gold merchandising stickers with a QR code that will promote the giveaway and draw eyes to the specialty cheese case!”
In early summer, retailers who order CAMBOZOLA & CAMBOZOLA Black Label will receive gold merchandising stickers to promote the Taste the Extraordinary Giveaway, set to run through 2022. Participants will be able to enter via website or QR code.
In addition, retailers can now request a variety of eye-catching POS materials to draw attention to their cheese case, including:
When I ask about the advantages of partnering with Champignon, Kelly does not hesitate.
“As a private, family-owned company, Käserei Champignon has freedom and flexibility, assets that are increasingly vital to international food business, and has helped us develop beneficial solutions for our retail and distribution partners,” she points out. “The high quality of our products is something that we are very proud of and helps set us apart. This quality really starts with the milk, sourced from cows that graze the lush meadows of the Allgäu region of Bavaria and other verdant areas of Germany. The numerous international awards that our cheeses win year after year are a testament to the quality of our milk, the hard work of the farmers we’ve been working with for generations, and the expertise of our cheesemakers.”
You will soon be able to find out for yourselves if you have not already, with Champignon ready to join in the industry social calendar this summer. These products and more will be on display at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, booth #351, June 12–14, as well as at IDDBA in Atlanta, Georgia, booth #4365, June 5–7. See you there!
