As vegan, vegetarian, and flexitarian diets continue to grow in popularity, four new products have hit the shelves of Sprouts Farmers Market. It was recently revealed that CLO-CLO™ Vegan Foods has released its new plant-based shrimp entrée bowls and a mac & cheeze bowl to meet heightening demand for plant-based frozen entrée meals.
“More than ever, today’s consumers are looking for plant-based seafood solutions that are packed with flavor and convenient, while being more conscious about the food they eat and products they buy,” said Vice President of CLO-CLO Vegan Foods, Wendy Hinnenkamp. “CLO-CLO™ is meeting this demand by offering new plant-based entrees that appeal to vegans by satisfying cravings of traditional seafood and texture, but also provides plant-based nutrition and goodness in an easy, ready-to-heat format.”
According to a press release, the plant-based shrimp is based off of the konjac root, which gives the shrimp the texture, look, and taste of traditional shrimp. To bring this delicious offering to market, award-winning CLO-CLO Vegan Foods Chef Robert Velarde developed three unique and delicious vegan-inspired meals to appeal to any vegan enthusiast.
The launch includes four new products:
All four of the new bowls are made without the top eight allergens—dairy, egg, soy, shellfish, fish, peanuts, gluten, and tree nuts—and have zero cholesterol. The delicious new products are available exclusively in the frozen department at Sprouts Farmers Market.
