Eel River Organic Beef Expands Distribution With Whole Foods Market; Clint Victorine and Beau Klose Discuss

California-based Eel River Organic Beef is expanding its distribution footprint with the help of Whole Foods Market. Recently, the beef provider announced its 100 percent grass-fed and grass-finished organic beef is now available at select Whole Foods Market stores located in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.

As noted in the release, Eel River has grown to become one of the nation’s largest providers of 100 percent organic beef born, raised, and harvested in the United States. Eel River ranches incorporate regenerative agricultural practices with the potential to improve water and air quality; enhance soil health and increase the land’s ability to retain water; and grow healthy, nutrient-dense food.

Sustainability is the guiding principle at Eel River Organic Beef. Being 100 percent certified organic means Eel River Organic Beef is non-GMO and is raised without any antibiotics, growth hormones, feed additives, or animal by-products,” added Victorine.

On the ranches, cattle are rotated through pastures to maximize beneficial impacts. They are finished in the same sunny pastures where they were raised without the environmental impacts of trucking to feedlots. Since Eel River Organic Beef is raised and finished on the West Coast, there is no long-distance transport stress on the animals or unnecessary use of fuel.
