Forever Cheese has made a name for itself as a specialty foods and cheese importer, bringing products from Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Croatia to the United States. Recently, the company made a name for itself in another arena: that of giving back to its community. The cheese company donated $25,000 worth of product to New Jersey non-profit Table to Table.
“Every year we proudly support a diverse group of non-profits through donations, events, and fundraisers,” stated Co-Owner Michele Buster in a press release. “However, with the current global situation, we wanted to address the most basic, immediate needs of our community by feeding those who are hungry. We’ve offered our support with an array of products that hopefully will bring some joy to people while confronting this crisis. We are thrilled to be able to work with Table to Table to make this a reality.”
Table to Table is an organization that rescues food that might otherwise go to waste. The organization distributes the food to food pantries, shelters, senior care centers, and other community organizations. As an integral part of the specialty food sector, Forever Cheese is doing its part to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic who cannot afford or do not have access to fresh food.
The press release noted that the donation from Forever Cheese will go directly to Table to Table’s network of community organizations.
Thank you to Forever Cheese for setting such an admirable example. It’s truly what the dairy community is all about!
