There are some new products that will soon be making their way to the charcuterie boards of American consumers. Specialty importer Forever Cheese has introduced its new Mitica® line of presliced Italian meats. This line, featuring 3 oz packs of Prosciutto, Salame Rustico, and Speck, marks a new venture into retail packs branded under the proprietary Mitica brand.

Karrie Kimble, Vice President of Sales, Forever Cheese“We’re excited to expand our charcuterie offerings and add these products to our Mitica catalog, a brand that’s well-loved and respected in the specialty food market,” explained Karrie Kimble, Vice President of Sales. “Customers want value, quality, and convenience, and this line delivers all three.”

Differentiated by high quality and flavor, the entire line of presliced meats is an excellent value, a press release stated. Each variety has been selected for its distinct flavor and versatility and can be used on charcuterie boards, paired with cheese, eaten in sandwiches, or used in cooking.

A mainstay of Italian cuisine, Prosciutto is made with just pork, salt, air, and time. Each ham is selected from pigs raised in Europe and is aged a minimum of 13 months. Salame Rustico, on the other hand, is made in the hotbed of Italian cured meats, Parma, and is seasoned with garlic and black pepper. Speck is a quintessential smoked ham from the mountains of Alto Adige, delicately smoked over beech wood, which adds to the flavor of the meat rather than overpowering it.

The new Mitica line is available for purchase by distributors and retailers and will be making its way into stores soon.
