BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA
Monday, January 18th, 2021

While January 13 may have been just a regular day for many, for those with a gluten-free diet it was a day to celebrate. You guessed it, National Gluten-Free Day. And in honor of the holiday, Little Northern Bakehouse has debuted its first line of gluten-free, organic bread varieties.

Darren Mahaffy, Chief Marketing Officer, Little Northern Bakehouse"At Little Northern Bakehouse, we are committed to making healthier, gluten-free breads everyone can enjoy, and as consumers are seeking out more organic options, we've responded by bringing that option to the gluten-free category as well," said Chief Marketing Officer Darren Mahaffy. "We are excited to now offer an even larger variety of products that differ greatly from the current options in the category—for both those who are celiac and those who eat gluten-free for health reasons."

The new additions to the company’s robust lineup of gluten-free breads, bagels, rolls, buns, pizza crusts, and more include Organic Ancient Grain, Organic Oatmeal, and Organic Original, according to the press release. All three new products are made from organic whole grains and seeds, delivering on the bakery’s promise to offer gluten-free products without sacrificing taste or texture.

The new line of certified organic varieties will be available at Sprouts, Loblaws, Nature’s Fare, Sobeys, Whole Foods, Choices, Longos, and other natural food grocers in the United States in the upcoming months, and retail for $6.99 a loaf.

The addition of these new loaves brings the gluten-free company into the organic space, as more and more consumers are leaning toward organic options for health reasons.
