Do you ever feel like every time something cool is being released from fast food and fast casual chains, it’s never the States that gets to enjoy them? Well, all of us who have ever stared forlornly at articles about delicious culinary creations will never have to again because McDonald’s is bringing a few of its global hits to U.S. locations.

According to a report from Business Insider, McDonald’s is launching a Worldwide Favorites 2.0 test at almost 100 stores in Connecticut. As part of this soft launch, international menu items like Mexico’s Savory Ranch Burger, France’s Grand Premium Chicken Sandwich, Japan’s McChicken McMuffin, and Canada’s Caramel Brownie McFlurry will be tested in the market to determine if they should be available nationally as soon as next summer.

On top of that exciting news, June saw Spain’s Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger, Australia’s Cheesy Bacon Fries, the Netherland’s Stroopwafel McFlurry, and Canada’s Tomato-Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich hit restaurants.

Business Insider also posited that McDonald’s Worldwide Favorites program could help the fast food giant continue driving same-store sales, as many U.S.-based consumers have long been clamoring for the global goods.

Deli Market News will continue to report on all that’s going on in the specialty foods sector.
