Food always seems to taste better when you know that the company behind it is making a difference. As consumers continue to explore the mission and ethos of the brands they are adding to their baskets, they can rest assured that Oat Haus, known for its oat-based spread, is out to empower its shopper base, and now it has the help of actress and social activist Jameela Jamil who will serve as the brand's Social Impact Advisor.

Ali Bonar, Founder, Oat Haus"We're very excited to welcome Jameela into the Oat Haus. As someone who's also struggled with an eating disorder, she understands firsthand how destructive they can be,” said Ali Bonar, Founder. “She's done a phenomenal job of amplifying voices and creating a radically inclusive space through her I Weigh community. We look forward to her guidance and mentorship to help affect change through our brand on a larger scale."

Serving as an advocate for body neutrality and eating disorder recovery, Jamil will help spread the company's message about loving oneself and finding joy in food.

Jameela Jamil, Actress"It has always been I Weigh's mission to help people around the world reclaim all the wasted energy that often comes along with disordered eating," Jamil shared. "I love the product, Ali's story, and Oat Haus' mission, so getting involved with the company in a more meaningful way made a lot of sense for I Weigh."

Oat Haus was officially launched in March 2018, according to a press release, and is dedicated to inspiring others through food. Bonar started the company after struggling with orthorexia, binge eating, and exercise addition for more than a decade. The brand's flagship product, Granola Butter, is now disrupting the spreads space and has seen immense growth since its creation. Oat Haus was even recently seen on ABC's Shark Tank.

"The idea for Granola Butter came out of my eating disorder recovery," said Bonar. "After years of restricting and bingeing, I couldn't digest nuts very well. I was looking for a nut-free spread, but none of the current options resonated with me, so I decided to create my own—and Granola Butter was born. For many years I was terrified of food, so I built this brand to prioritize the emotional and community value of the eating experience and most importantly, to make sure others know they're not alone."

Granola Butter is top eight allergen-free, providing a tasty, nutrient-dense option for those with dietary restrictions or in allergen-free spaces such as schools. The company currently offers five core flavors including: Original, Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry Shortcake, and Blueberry, as well as a a limited-edition Apple Pie flavor that was just launched.
