As we get ready to kick off 2024, now is the perfect time to take a look back at the year’s accomplishments. For Pine River Pre-Pack, 2023 was a year of impressive retail growth that led to a boost in overall brand awareness. The supplier’s new retail partners include Associated Wholesale Grocers Baton Rouge, Harmons, H-E-B, Ingles Markets, Market of Choice, New Seasons Market, and Nugget Markets.
“The sales team, led by Sales Manager Kayla Bohn, has developed great relationships in the industry, and these relationships with key retail and broker partners have been integral in the growth of Pine River’s brand,” Ian Behm, President, told me. “The Pine River team truly cares about creating long-lasting relationships with all of its customers.”
In addition to these new placements for Pine River, the brand also makes private-label cheese spreads for a number of key industry players that have also seen significant growth in 2023.
With these new channels, Pine River products can now be found in hundreds of new retail locations across at least 14 states. These new partners have stores in the Appalachian region of the Southeastern United States, Midwest, South, Southwest, and West Coast.
“New partnerships and placements like these accelerate brand growth and awareness by opening up Pine River’s award-winning products to new consumers that were not previously able to find Pine River products on their grocery store shelves,” Ian continued. “When consumers think of cheese spreads, we want them to think of Pine River.”
As evidenced by these recent expansions, Ian explained that Pine River is on a mission to make cheese spread a nationwide year-round snack and not just a holiday item.
“We are continuing to focus on producing our award-winning cold pack cheese spreads using only the highest quality Wisconsin dairy ingredients. Being able to see the tremendous growth of our distribution footprint makes it that much more gratifying to be able to continue supporting our local Wisconsin farmers and Wisconsin dairy producers,” said Ian.
Pine River has also made some significant and innovative production improvements, which has allowed for increased production capacity and continued growth into the future. The company aims to support its new and established retail partners while also growing strategically.
