Roth^® Cheese Secures Awards for Gouda, Creamy Havarti, and Gorgonzola Offerings

Wins, wins, and more wins! That is the song of the season for Roth^® Cheese, as the specialty cheesemaker recently secured three awards from the Wisconsin State Fair for its Aged Gouda, Gorgonzola, and Creamy Havarti offerings. In addition, the company was presented with a first place award for its 3 Chile Pepper Gouda from the Green County Fair in Wisconsin.

This summer, Roth cheesemakers and supporting teams took to the two popular events to showcase its ever-evolving portfolio of specialty cheeses.

At the Wisconsin State Fair, the company took home the following awards:

• First Place: Gouda & Edam Category – Roth Aged Gouda. This cheese is made with fresh, local Wisconsin milk, then cured for at least six months in the Roth Cellars in Monroe, Wisconsin
• Second Place: Blue Veined Category – Roth Gorgonzola. This Italian-style blue is aged 3-plus months for a full earthy flavor and pillowy texture, a press release explained. Inspired by the delicious cheeses of Italy, Roth’s gorgonzola has an assertively piquant flavor and complex, peppery finish that’s not for the faint of palates
• Second Place: Havarti Category – Roth Creamy Havarti. Traditional cheesemaking methods, fresh milk, and premium ingredients make this extra-creamy Havarti a special addition to the cheese case
  
  

At the Green County Fair, Roth Cheese took home the first place award in the Pepper Flavored Natural Cheese category, stealing judges’ attention with its flavorful Roth 3 Chile Pepper Gouda. As the release explained, this 3 Chile Pepper Gouda is a colorful trio of chipotle, habanero, and jalapeño peppers that add a south-of-the-border twist to the award-winning cheese.

With a bevy of new awards under its belt, consumers will be eager to get their hands on this portfolio of high-quality cheeses.
