Rumiano Cheese Company is breathing new life into the phrase “as soon as possible” as the company announced the early launch of three new Redwood Coast cheeses to help support frontline healthcare workers in California. From today through the month of May, $1 from every package sold of Rumiano Cheese Company’s growing Redwood Coast line of globally-inspired cheeses will benefit the UCSF COVID-19 Response Fund and other various non-profit organizations across California.
“This product release could have been delayed due to the pandemic, but instead we decided to move up the release so that we could make an impact on our community during a time of need,” said Joe Baird, CEO. “We are grateful for the frontline healthcare workers who are fighting the battle against COVID-19 and serving our community during the country’s most challenging times. We continue to look for ways we can help, and this is the first step.”
The three new flavors in the Redwood Coast line include Wild Arabian Nights (Monterey Jack with Za’atar Seasoning), Borderline Blaze (Smoked Jalapeno Cheddar), and Tuscan Temptress (Mozzarella with Basil and Sun-Dried Tomato). As stated in a press release, these new cheeses join an already established collection featuring Sriracha Jack, Seoul Spice, and Island Fire Dance. Launched in 2019, the evolving line is available in 8-ounce blocks at natural food stores and major grocery chains.
Rumiano Redwood Coast's rich and delicious cheeses are crafted with locally-sourced, fresh milk from small, pasture-based family farms that go the extra mile for grass-fed milk production. Year-round access to pastures and natural grazing of coastal grasses in Northwest California allow the cows to roam freely, making for happy cows and some of the best-tasting, highest quality dairy products containing increased amounts of nutrients and that are higher in both omega-3 fatty acids and beta-carotene.
