The warehouse club retailer is muscling into the protein sector with the announcement of a new service. Walmart-owned Sam’s Club is now rolling out a direct-to-home organic grass-fed beef delivery service.
For the month of December, Sam’s club will be lowering its 6 lb ground beef delivery service from $54.98 to $39.98 and will add organic beef to its offerings. As noted in the release, Sam’s Club Plus members will get an additional $8 off of their orders.
In addition, the retailer will also be offering USDA Prime Grade New York Strip Steak delivered directly to consumers’ homes as well for just $189.99, a 12 count package at 10 oz each. Plus members get $10 off this offer as well.
To make this proposition even more mouthwatering, shipping is free for all members on these orders. The meat is carefully packed into a sealed, insulated, and disposable cooler with dry ice to arrive cold at shoppers’ doorsteps. Orders will be delivered between 2 to 5 days. And with Christmas rounding the corner, Sam’s Club’s new service is delivering at a most opportune time.
