Shenandoah Valley Organic is bolstering its executive leadership team with two new additions. Jefferson Heatwole will be taking on the Chief Sales Officer position while Dorothy Muszynska will be heading up the newly created role of Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately.
As Chief Sales Officer, Heatwole will lead the Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams and participate in new product and business development. Prior to entering his new position, Heatwole wore many different hats at Shenandoah Valley Organic, which he has been with since 2014. These hats have included driving branded product sales strategy, Farmer Focus, the “fully-cooked” product development program, and leading the company’s move from bulk product sales to retail sales. According to a press release, Heatwole also helped spearhead the doubling of the company’s sales.
Muszynska joined the company as its new Chief Marketing Officer just a few weeks ago. She brings with her over 15 years of marketing experience in the food industry, which has included training in classical marketing; working for family-owned, private equity-backed, and large companies; implementing marketing plans; launching new brands into new channels; and working with CEOs and Boards of Directors. In addition, she’s worked in both the retail and foodservice sectors, leading teams from the time of concept creation to execution, and helping to deliver sustainable revenue and profit gains.
Shenandoah Valley Organic’s newest executive leadership team members are part of the company’s growth strategy and commitment to investing in its people.
Congratulations to Jefferson Heatwole and Dorothy Muszynska on their new positions!
