Standard Meat Brings On Zach Calkins as Executive Chef; Ashli Rosenthal Blumenfeld and Ben Rosenthal Comment

Culinary expertise is a crucial aspect of bringing quality products to market—something Standard Meat knows well. In a bid to sharpen its competitive edge, the company has named Zach Calkins as the new Executive Chef, who will be part of Standard Meat’s product development team.

Zach Calkins, Executive Chef, Standard MeatCalkins has been a consultant to Standard Meat for the past seven years, according to a press release. He supported product development, performed trend research, and validated recipes for accuracy. Prior to this, Calkins was a leader at Quiznos, first as Executive Chef, and then as Senior Vice President of Global Product Innovation.

As Executive Chef, Calkins will oversee Standard Meat’s entire culinary product development program and innovations. He will also be a key member of the leadership team, helping to develop and refine the company’s short- and long-term strategies.

Calkins refined his culinary skills at the acclaimed New England Culinary Institute before becoming Sous Chef at the world-famous Coyote Café in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He then became Executive Chef at the renowned Strings Restaurant in Denver, Colorado.
