A celebration is to be had for Tempesta Artisan Salumi as the specialty meat curator marks the 90th birthday of Antonio Fiasche, Sr., the grand patriarch of the company. To spread the good fun, Tempesta is rolling out new packaging as it reaches more markets in the United States.
“For me, Nonno is more than my grandpa. He is my namesake and my inspiration to better the artisanal craft he continues to teach us all at Tempesta,” Antonio Fiasche, Jr., Owner at Tempesta Artisan Salumi and Tempesta Market, commented. “From Calabria, he brought with him the foundational family tradition of ’Nduja. Together, we’re building something special and finding new ways of inviting everyone in.”
With 100 collective years of experience, the Fiasche family pushes forward with Fiasche Sr. as the keeper of tradition. To better share the gifts he brought to America, noted the release, the company will be offering its ever-expanding line of award-winning products to more people in more places. Tempesta’s new packaging will also be making its debut, finding its place on the shelves of more retail stores in more communities across the country.
Tempesta started with a single product: ‘Nduja, the spicy, spreadable pork salami with Calabrian peppers and salt. It remains the company’s crown jewel, so Tempesta said. Like ’Nduja, the company’s product line has spread to include Finocchiona, Sopressata (one simple, one spicy), pink peppercorn Nostrano, Wagyu beef Salami di Manzo, Tartufo (truffles), and Spanish-style Chorizo.
Using all-natural products, the highest-quality meats, spices and peppers, and a time-honored process perfected over multiple generations, Tempesta has created a lineup of savory selections shoppers won’t want to miss.
The Good Food Awards and Specialty Food Association (sofi) can attest to the company’s quality as the highest honors were given to the Finocchiona and Culatello. Additionally, the Good Foods Awards named the Wagyu Bresaola a Winner while the Charcuterie Masters named the company Grand Champion.
