Open now through February 9, 2024, students may apply for the scholarships, which will be awarded to seven deserving applicants in April.
“Whether they’re just beginning their college journey, working toward a graduate degree, or pursuing a technical career, today’s students are tomorrow’s dairy leaders,” said John Umhoefer, WCMA Executive Director. “We’re proud to contribute to the bright future of the dairy processing industry.”
As a press release explained, two WCMA scholarships target students attending a college, university, or technical school in the United States, or high school seniors registered to attend a qualifying school next fall; preference for these scholarship awards will be given to candidates pursuing degrees and careers connected to the dairy industry.
The organization is presenting the following awards:
In addition, WCMA will also select two students to receive the Brian Eggebrecht Student Scholarship Supporting Skilled Trades in the Dairy Industry, worth $2,000 each.
Successful applicants will be announced in March 2024, with awards presented on April 17 at CheeseExpo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Read more about each of these scholarships, including how to apply, here.
