It’s always an exciting moment when we hear expansions in our industry. The latest development to hit our newswires is Yerecic Label’s latest facility opening. Recently, the industry partner opened the doors to its new Phoenix, Arizona, site, which stands at over 40,000 square feet.
“Adding a location in Phoenix is a strategic opportunity as a large number of our customers are located in the West,” commented Art Yerecic, President of the company. “It’s important to Yerecic Label to expand our ability to service customers at the Speed of Fresh®.”
The facility currently has two printing presses running with room for three additional presses, one of which is already being prepared for installation, noted the release.
Taking consideration to its West Coast customers, this location creates efficiencies within Yerecic’s operations as it is a one- or two-day ship point to most Arizona, California, Washington, and Idaho facilities. In addition, the facility has significant racking to hold inventory for West Coast customers.
“The promotion of so many Pittsburgh-based team members to their new positions in the Phoenix facility created a wealth of opportunity for team members to move up quickly within the company,” said Vice President of Production Brian Hurst. “This is beneficial for both Yerecic Label and our customers, as we are elevating strong and skilled team members.”
Staffed with a significant number of long-tenured team members, the facility allows the company’s culture, procedures, and service to seamlessly integrate into the new location.
“This is the most exciting development yet throughout my years with Yerecic Label,” Trisha Brown, Key Account Manager, commented in the release. “Having a YL printing location essentially in my backyard is a real opportunity for West Coast retailers and fresh food suppliers!”
Nick Warren was also excited about the new facility.
“We are very eager for our customers to visit Phoenix and tour the facility,” commented Warren, another Key Account Manager for Yerecic Label, regarding the newly built facility in Arizona. “They are going to love the atmosphere!”
Developments are always in store, so keep checking back to Deli Market News as we report.
