Salt Lake City, Utah, welcomed 2,200 industry professionals for the 2018 KeHE Spring Show from October 3-4. Participants connected on the purchasing of natural and organic specialty and fresh products for 2019’s first quarter. An educational panel of industry frontrunners offered insight into various ways to utilize data and drive business.
“We take it one step further to educate show attendees on the data available and the power it has to grow a business. It allows them to leave with products backed by a strategy. We are proud to continue to connect thousands of retailers with the products consumers crave to drive success in the marketplace,” said Brandon Barnholt, KeHE’s President & CEO.
Items from Certified B Corp vendors and KeHE’s CAREtrade™ partners were some of the 160 brands that dazzled the crowds in the New Products Showcase. Votes for the Best of New Products Awards were submitted using the KeHE Events Mobile App and include the following:
A wooden KeHE Cares token was given to each attendee for them to drop into one of four buckets that represented a partnering organization around the world: Restoration61 in Chicago, Stung Treng School in Cambodia, Warriors Circle in North Dakota, and Mission Lazarus in Honduras. KeHE Cares donated $5 for every token to each organization.
“Simply by doing business with KeHE, our retailer and supplier partners play a large role in KeHE Cares,” said Gene Carter, KeHE’s Chief Operating Officer. “Because of that, it’s very important to us that they learn about the supported programs and have the opportunity to get more involved in KeHE’s mission to SERVE to make lives better®.”
KeHE’s community of attendees donated 22,000 pounds of food products to the Utah Food Bank after the show. Keep your eyes peeled for details on KeHE’s next show, which is invite-only and set for February 5-6, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee. Visit KeHE.com for more information.
