An old favorite is making its way back to Firehouse Subs using King's Hawaiian® Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.
If you have any doubts, behold. Firehouse Subs Founders Robin and Chris Sorenson doing the hoola, wearing flowered leis, and Robin wearing a particularly loud but fun luau shirt in this recently debuted television commercial.
Don’t believe me? Watch the short video below.
The two founders are getting into Hawaii-mode to support the return of Firehouse Subs’ limited menu item, King’s Hawaiian® Pork & Slaw Sandwich, which features King’s Hawaiian® bread toasted and encasing 12-hour pit-smoked pulled pork, pepper jack cheese, and fresh Hawaiian coleslaw.
“Firehouse Subs is bringing back an old favorite,” Robin Sorensen says in the short segment, adding some tantalizing visuals to the description of what the King’s Hawaiian® Pork & Slaw Sandwich entails.
While the Firehouse website does warn that the featured sub is only available for a limited time, it is also a summer custom going back to 2011.
It looks to be a sweet partnership that is forming into a seasonal tradition.
