This January’s Winter Fancy Food Show featured an unlikely first time exhibitor in FrieslandCampina. The more-than-100-year-old dairy giant has made waves this year through a series of stateside acquisitions, partnering with Jana Foods and Best Cheese Co USA.
I recently spoke with Debbie Seife, Marketing Director, North America, to learn more about the company, its Frico brand, and the on-trend products making their way to U.S. shores.
“We’re highlighting our Frico brand, which is a brand that has been in over 90 countries we distribute into,” Debbie told me, “and we’ve been around for over 120 years. We have a whole new lineup of sliced cheeses…in a 5.3 oz package. It is in a tray package with a resealable film on top.”
Frico brand sliced cheeses are available in Gouda, Edam, Emmental, and Goat Cheese slices. And the company is introducing Cracker Cuts, Grab & Go Snacks, shaved goat cheese packs, and behind-the-glass loaves for slicing.
