There’s nothing quite like the sweet taste of honey. But where is that honey coming from? Unfortunately, not all the honey on the shelves is legally and ethically sourced, despite federal intervention. For the folks at GloryBee, pure and delicious honey has been a top priority for decades. The honey and natural ingredient company participates in the True Source Certified® program, which is dedicated to certifying ethical and traceable honey, to ensure the purest of quality.
“It has always been part of GloryBee’s nature to source high-quality, delicious honey from ethical beekeepers, said Jeanie Shrode, Quality Assurance Manager, in a press release. “GloryBee has many close relationships with honey producers and knows the value of hive to table traceable honey. We are proud to be certified by a program that protects customers, consumers, and the reputation of honey across the globe.”
The True Source Certification is not easy to achieve, as currently only 30 percent of honey sold in North America has received this certification. The True Source Certified Honey program is a certification program that distinguishes honey that is pure and traceable all the way up the supply chain. As part of the program, an internationally recognized impartial third party firm conducts audits that certify the source of the honey from hive to table. The certification program also confirms that packers and exporters test and analyze honey purity, a practice that GloryBee has been doing for years.
